Do you have it in ya? some would call it a holiday…others would say you need to get a life….
Where does your thinking sit? Long distance carbonised haulage is a fast growing trend in cycling and I cannot think of a better mob than the ‘Kiwi Randonneurs’ …and no I am not referring to a new breed of sheep…hmmm actually now that I think of it, and using a long bow some of our randomised thinking could arrive at that very conclusion….Chickens in Choppers! …why not “Sheep on Carbon?
Enough with the verbal diarrhea …lets just jump to an expert take on all this, by an expert Randonneur…
What makes a good Rando ride?
Hills or flats? Quiet narrow roads or main roads with wide shoulders?
The bottom line is it doesn’t matter. Randonneuring is a catch bag for cycling: some speed racers like to smash themselves on the aero bars and some social riders like to taste the cream buns at every cafe. But as we all know, the most important thing in life is cycling and any route can be an adventure regardless of the terrain or cafes.
So what is your favourite route? Map it out with RWGPS, pick any Saturday that you’re free and the team at KR will help you organise the ride. It’s really that easy. What are you waiting for?
